Waukee Community School District Board of Education
Since 1916, the passionate and selfless educators at Waukee Community School District have worked tirelessly to ensure our children are well-versed, healthy and ready to take on the world. With the pace of growth at Waukee and the challenging times in which we live, we cannot expect our public schools to do it all. It's time to get involved, and the best way to have a positive impact is by serving on the Board of Education.
An effective school board plays a critical role in keeping our public schools on track, and setting policies that affect the students, parents and taxpayers in our community. School board members set the vision and goals for the school district, and hold the administration accountable for results. High-functioning boards operate as a collaborative and transparent conduit between students, parents and faculty, where all voices are heard and common interests are aligned for the greater good. School-board work is not political work. It’s community work.
These four amazing candidates have stepped up to run for Waukee School Board for one, unified reason: to build a brighter future for our students. These candidates are NOT politicians. They are parents, professionals, community leaders, coaches, friends, colleagues and neighbors who CARE enough to serve on behalf of everyone in our district. They listen from a holistic point of view and understand that - above all else - we all want the same thing...safe, happy and well-educated kids.
We invite you to get to know our Warriors & Wolves United school board candidates and learn how their unique contributions will ensure the legacy of Waukee's strong family-community-school partnership continues for generations to come.
